APPEARANCE / MOUNTING
The image you purchase will not fill the whole print, since its width/height ratio will be different from the one of the paper it will be printed on. Here is an example for this Abbe Lane image: the image's actual size is 26 x 32 cm on a 30 x 40 cm print.

Also, a white margin is useful for proper framing with a passepartout: your print's surface should not be in contact with the frame glass in order to let it "breathe", or it will stick on the glass because of moisture.
A passepartout will also focus the view of the observer and enhance the impact of your print.

Digital prints made on this paper show particularly attractive brilliance, unique feel, unparalleled surface structure and wide tonal gamut. In brief, Archival Digital Fine-Art paper is a high-class medium which meets the highest demands of artists, photographers, galleries and museums.
Archival Digital Fine-Art paper is made to last for centuries. It is produced in accordance with DIN6738 and ISO9706 specifications for archive grade paper. This paper is 100% acid free with a neutral pH.
Such features, combined with the use of pigment inks (opposed to less durable dye-base dinks), provide for extreme longevity once prints are protected from air and direct sunlight.
